Traces

This new body of work begins with documentation of found items discovered along a stretch of the Suffolk coastline in England - challenging our perspective of natural habitats.

Much enjoyment is given by the coast and sea, for well-being, activities and socially. An abundance of nature and natural forms to explore and watch. Throughout my life I have been drawn to the water, my paintings and studies express the emotional  charge the sea creates within. In contrast to this free expression, the beauty of the seascapes are masked by an underlying ugliness - the impact of human traces on natural habitats.
